I'm a long-time AFI fan and they're the biggest reason I justified spending $50 per ticket to see this event, however I don't feel like I got my money's worth at all.
I came for AFI, but their set was less than an hour and they didn't even play an encore. Lame.
I wasn't expecting much from the opening acts, and they didn't really give me much to be excited about.
The show was also in a hockey arena instead of a concert venue. The acoustics in the arena aren't friendly to bands - they just distort the music and make everything sound like inaudible roaring. That's great for a hockey game, but terrible for a concert.
AFI's songs sounded decent, thanks to their high-powered audio equipment, but they would have been much much better in a concert hall. I enjoyed the familiar hits and rocked out to nearly every song - I just wished they would have played longer.
In the end, I still would have paid to see this show (because I really like AFI), but I think $25 or less would have been a more appropriate price for what I saw.
